This series was initially inspired and can be considered a continuation of my Phlebotomy work. I really enjoyed manipulating my wheelthrown bodies to make a more interesting and liquid shapes, so in my practise with Mud Gang I have continued to explore that. In this series and my metallic series, I have been exaggerating how much I can manipulate the forms of each piece and testing the plasticity of the clay bodies I am using. In my Fluidity series I used lighter clay bodies, and either transparent or a more blue coloured glaze to bring out the the natural texture and colour of the clay and the form of the piece.
